Dr. Zupancich grew up on a farm near Clark, South Dakota where she was active in 4-H and spent many hours playing with the dogs and barn cats. She knew going into college that she would like to work in the medical field, but did not decide on veterinary medicine until her last year at Augustana. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1997, then went on to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in 2001. She has been with White Bear Animal Hospital since June of 2001.

Dr Zupancich currently sees appointments three days per week and every third Saturday. Her special interest areas are feline medicine and ultrasound diagnostics.  Dr. Zupancich lives in Roseville, Minnesota with her husband and three boys.

On her days off she stays busy at home caring for her kids. Her hobbies include bike riding, boating, downhill skiing, cooking and reading. Her pets include a cat, Spumoni and two beagle mixes named Snoopy and Woodstock.
