I recently had a vet appointment with Dr. Stark for my dog La La. The level of care we received from her was excellent. The staff were all very welcoming and Dr. Stark was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and even gave me additional info and articles for me to read to gain more information for my dogs condition. She really took her time to examine my dog and my dog also loved her :) I would recommend White Bear Animal Hospital for your pets needs. They are wonderful there! KV

This past week our dog became very ill as we were getting up for the day. I contacted our regular clinic and they were unable and unwilling to see our dog. I called the White Bear Vet Clinic at 8:00 am and even though we were not current clients, and even though they had no open appointment times, they told me to bring our pet in immediately. I was there by 8:30 am and we were brought directly into an exam room and the vet was in minutes later. Sadly, our dog did not survive the day, but the care, communication and compassion we received by all the staff of the White Bear Clinic was excellent. AVJ

Just a little note to mention how impressed we were with Dr. Stark. We brought our new shelter cat, Big Boy, he weighs 16.5 lbs, in for his initial checkup on Monday. Dr. Stark was so patient and informative with our myriad questions. She also gave us some great suggestions and we're glad to say that they are all working. We have been coming to this facility since 1982 with our dogs and cats. The new 'regime' seamlessly gives the same great care to animals and their owners as well. ND and JD

I cannot say enough wonderful things about White Bear Animal Hospital! I have only been taking my cats there for 1 1/2 years but I am very impressed with the service. Dr. Sidra Stark left her previous veterinarian employment to join White Bear Animal Hospital. Dr. Stark has been my vet for several years and I could not ask for a more competent, caring and educated person keeping my cats in their best health. So when she joined White Bear Animal Hospital, I followed - even though the distance went from a three-minute drive to a 25-minute drive. A huge plus with White Bear Animal Hospital is that many of the tests and blood work that occasionally need to be done are done on site. There is no 24-48 hour wait to receive my cat's results. This is a great comfort to me, especially when the tests are for health problems! The facility is very clean, appointments are easy to get, and the staff is professional and very helpful with any questions I have. I would recommend White Bear Animal Hospital to anyone who wants the very best care for their pet! LJ

I've only had my cat Ace for a year, but the times I've brought Ace to the Hospital, the doctors and staff have been very friendly, and informative with any questions I ask. I want to start out saying that I was upset about the change in ownership at the clinic and considered driving much further to stay with the doctor we were used to. But I decided to try the new clinic out. I was hooked. I took my dogs in, Jocko and Jake, for their yearly heartworm check. I was very surprised to get a call at home regarding the results, probably because it wasn't especially good news. The doctor took the time to talk to me about all the options and treatments and that alone made me realize that we had quality doctors there at WBAH. I've had the boys in for other things since then and have always been very pleased. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, the doctors don't make you feel "rushed". I think they truly care about each and every pet that comes in. They treat my dogs like I do, like part of the family. They're very gentle and caring with each of them. I won't change clinics. White Bear Animal Hospital put our worries to rest. We recently adopted a new puppy Adney, who is also our first dog. Dr. Z and the staff at WBAH are terrific. They patiently answered our questions and helped us navigate those first few days of having our new family member at home. The clinic is clean, well organized and there to help us in anyway. We came to see you twice now, and both times we were treated with respect and much kindness. Our Auntie Laura knows us, so she was able to let the vet know that Shadow hisses but he is just trying to protect his sister, Penny and his mommy, Chris Noland. Penny said although she wasn't feeling well and was showing signs of 'heat' even though she had the surgery to prevent it, the Dr. was very very nice and gave us some good tips. Luckily, she hasn't had any symptoms after that visit. They say they will definitely make this their number 1 place to go, even if they have to have shots. CN

We have been bringing our cats to your clinic since 1995. Although there have been some changes in the last few years, we still believe that the doctors and staff at this clinic are the best at taking care of our cats. I have never felt like my questions or concerns were not important (quite the opposite!). Everyone goes out of their way to talk to us and help us with any situation that may come up (with four cats that can sometimes be a lot!). I received excellent care for my two kitties. It was long haul, especially with the difficult illness. They are healthy and up to their old tricks after about three or four months. The staff is very caring towards the pets and helpful in getting special can food together for you. K

We originally visited WBAH through a referral from an instructor at Twin Cities Obedience Training Center. Our regular clinic (located convenient to our s. mpls home) had recommended exploratory surgery for a lump on our dog's chest. We were told, "If it was my dog, I would have this surgery done." Knowing that any surgery is a risk, we decided to get a second opinion and we're so glad we did! Our vet at WBAH reassured us that no surgery was necessary and that the lump was benign. Weeks later, the bump disappeared. While WBAH isn't convenient for us, we're willing to make the drive to receive excellent care. We value the information we receive during visits, the fees are reasonable and we trust the vets at WBAH. We would recommend WBAH to any pet owner! HH-K

We have taken our dog Zena to White Bear Lake Animal Hospital since she was born. They are always very thorough and we never have to wait, if we had an appointment. They do follow-up calls, if there's been a problem. Some times several follow-up calls. We recommend them to everybody we know. JJ

We have been bringing our dogs to WBAH for 18 years now. All of our dogs have had the best care possible there ...including problems from skin and ear infections to cancer. Both my husband and I like the thorough job the doctors do not only when the animals are ill but even when it's just a check up or for shots. The staff is always caring for both the animals and their owners. I'll never forget the kindness and sincere words and comfort when we've had to euthanize our dogs. The staff at White Bear Animal Hospital are very caring and knowledgeable. They also have been able to give me very practical advice about my pet care. My dog had benign tumors last year the doctor went above and beyond the call of duty. After removing the tumors my dear sweet dog had trouble healing, the doctor took her home with her over the weekend to monitor her bleeding and care. I was very impressed and felt that the staff cares very much for the pets they care for. I would recommend them to anyone. EH

I got my cat Monte from a rescue shelter in 10/2008 and he ended up having multiple medical ailments that needed to be treated. The staff at the White Bear Animal Hospital was extremely thorough with their care and treatment for my cat, which was greatly appreciated by me as a new cat owner. Over the past few years I have continued to take my cat here and have never been disappointed. When I come prepared with a list of seemingly random and possibly silly questions about my cat’s health they always take the time to methodically answer each question and treat me and my cat with respect. The care at White Bear Animal Hospital is fabulous! We have adopted two dogs from the Humane Society and the care received has been second to none. Our first dog, Duke passed away in September 2010, and the support and care by the staff was wonderful. They were very sympathetic to our needs and gave us as much time as we needed. When I got my rescued boxer (Tacoma) he immediately started having major bowel problems. I took him to a well-known clinic in a pet store and was told it was parasites. The bill was over $200.00 dollars. The problem persisted so I took him to another national clinic was told he needed surgery for something in this stomach. X-rays and visit was another $200 but surgery would be over $300.00. I called the Minnesota Boxer Association since I had not technically adopted him so he was only being fostered by me. I explained the situations. They advised me to take him to White Bear Animal Hospital. I took all the paperwork and X-ray up to WBAH. I was told they did not believe that he had anything lodged in his stomach and no parasites. They wanted to keep him overnight to watch him. The next day they called and said they thought they knew the problem so I could pick him up. I had been given Purina One and was feeding him that. I was told by WBAH that Tacoma was probably allergic to corn and wheat and was recommended to feed him Nature's Variety's Prairie dog food (no corn or wheat filler). The problem cleared up almost immediately. Today Tacoma sees no other vets but those at WBAH and is a very healthy, happy 2 1/2 boxer. I drive 30 minutes to get to WBAH but I would never consider going any place else. RS

I have been taking my cats Tinker and Cleo to WBAH for 11 years and could not be happier with the care and attention I get from all of the staff at the hospital. They are always able to work with my schedule when bringing in my cats. They take their time during my appointments and answer all of my questions. I have never felt rushed or hurried. I have been so happy to have the great care and support of the White Bear Animal Hospital for over 8 years! I got “Barney” when he was only 6 weeks old, and with the puppy thing being new to me, I felt very open to call the vet and ask questions about this new “being” in my house! The staff, EVERYONE, on the staff was so helpful and accommodating !!!! Barney had his “fix” surgery, and we received a follow up phone call about how Barney was doing after his surgery! I have taken my dogs to WBAH for 2 years now. Dr. Sidra Stark has been one of the best vets that I have gone to. I have a golden retriever with a very tricky medical issue called megaesophagus and she has been there for me every step of the way. She has done research on her own time about new treatments, taken the time to listen to all of the things I read on the web and give her input on what may or may not help. She always treats me with respect and I feel like she is a friend after all of the visits. She has been someone that always listens to both concerns about cost and will do everything she can within your limitations. I recently had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my Labrador and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to help her to the other side. She was also a great comfort to me at the time. Dr. Stark and the staff at WBAH always know my name when I walk in the door and I would highly recommend this clinic. LS
