Reason I became a Veterinarian:
My initial interest in veterinary medicine grew from a desire to
work with exotic and endangered species. Later my interests evolved to
include a desire to help people solve their pet-related problems. Veterinary
medicine provides me the opportunity to combine technical skills with the
intellectual challenges of solving a wide variety of problems. I also enjoy
working together as part of a team. Areas of special interest include
ophthalmology, behavior, dentistry, dermatology and client education.

Reason I became a Veterinarian:
I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals. I knew going
into college that I wanted to work in the medical field, but it wasn't until
my last year at Augustana that I decided to attend veterinarian school.
I originally intended to practice mixed animal medicine. However, I
found that I most enjoyed caring for people's pets. I am especially
interested in anesthesia, pain management, and feline medicine. |

Siena - collie
Frank - domestic longhaired cat |
Reason I became a Veterinarian: My father was a wildlife rehabilitator
and I grew up helping care for orphaned animals in our home. I always
wanted to be a veterinarian and have been lucky enough to be able to pursue
this career. I enjoy spending time with owners and their pets and find
it very rewarding supporting that relationship. Over the past few
years I have grown to love feline medicine and surgery and preventative care
for all pets. |
