Everyone here at the clinic would like to say "Congratulations" to Tina, one of our relatively new employees. On Thursday, December 15 Tina passed her Veterinary Technician Certification test. She can now proudly call herself a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).

Career Day at White Bear Lake High School

On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, Dr. Dalton had the pleasure of speaking to two different groups of 11th and 12th grade students at White Bear Lake Area High School South Campus as part of their career day. He discussed a number of topics related to veterinary medicine including educational requirements, career options, the pros and the cons and typical duties. Dr. Dalton at Trane Health Fair

Recently, Dr. Dalton attended the Trane Corporation Employee Health Fair in White Bear Lake. He had the opportunity to speak with many nice people about their pets. His dog, Shadow, was a hit with the crowd. We had two gift basket winners:

Dr. Stark at the State Fair

Once again, Dr. Stark will be volunteering as a moderator at the MVMA Surgery Suite at the Minnesota State Fair. The MVMA Surgery Suite is located in the Pet Building at the north end of the fair. Dr. Stark will be there on Labor Day, Monday, September 5 from 9 am to 1 pm. Stop by to say hello, ask some questions, watch some surgery and win some free stuff!

Dr. Stark at the Minnesota State Fair

This year our very own Dr. Sidra Stark will be acting as a Moderator at the MVMA Surgical Suite at the Minnesota State Fair on Labor Day, Monday, September 6 from 9 am to 1 pm. Stop by to say "Hi," ask questions, watch a live ovariohysterectomy (spay) and win prizes. The MVMA Surgical Suite is located in the Pet Center Building at the north end of the fairgrounds. We hope to see you there!

We are putting together a slide show to be used on our website and in the hospital and we want to include your pet. To have you and your pet included you can send us a photograph by surface mail, you can drop off your photo at the clinic or you can email your photo as a .jpg file attachment to WBAH@comcast.net. Please write your name, your pet’s name, your home address and telephone number on the back of each photograph. Although we will do our best to make sure you get your pictures back, we cannot guarantee safe return. 

Dinner Cruise on the St. Croix River 2010

Recently, the entire hospital staff and their dates enjoyed a lovely evening dinner cruise on the St. Croix River in Stillwater, Minnesota. It was a beautiful night with lots of good food, good company and some fun Dixie Band music. Can you match the staff member with their date at right?

Cub Scouts Tour Hospital

Recently, Mahtomedi Cub Scout Pack 89 Den 10 visited our hospital for a tour. We had a fun looking at worms in jars, studying x-rays, looking at fleas, lice and our own cheek cells under the microscope as well as examining and listening to the heart of a very sweet German Shepherd dog named Shadow. We had a great time.

If your community group would like to schedule a visit to our hospital or an off site visit with an animal, just let us know. We love to show off our hospital and talk about pet care!
