Good Bye Bernie Bear. Thanks for being in our lives for 11 wonderful years. You were a quirky dog who didn’t like conflict and went to the door whenever you felt it coming. You disliked riding in the car, vacuum cleaners and cameras You had too many wonderful qualities to put into words. You loved racing Matthew to your dish at dinner time. You had a warm welcome for anyone coming into our home and everyone loved you. We thought you would go on forever. You loved eating leather belts, batting gloves, baseball mitts, purses or UGG boots. There were many times we thought we would lose you like times you ate Peter’s belts and got the rivets and string caught in your intestines. Sometimes you were able to pass them but Dr. Dalton was able to pull off a surgery to retrieve the others. We all miss you so much including Dodger who, after you passed, went looking for you in the neighborhood. I’m sure you are up there laying in the cool grass or snow content to watch the world around you. See you on the other side Bernie!
