Hermie was a give away on a PetSmart Bulletin Board in Baltimore MD. I have no idea why I pulled that card off the board and went to meet him or “take him”. I was not particularly a pet person OR a cat person. He lived in his rooms, and I in mine for the first couple of years. Over time, we grew closer. The past 7 or 8 years he has followed me everywhere around this house and other houses or apartments I have had. He was such a part of my life and to anyone that has ever wondered “Am I a pet person?” You are. Pets choose us, we don’t really choose them. In loving memory of my very best friend, Peggy Olson
