Behavior consultation

BehavConsult

Not all of the problems we see in pet dogs and cats are medical. Many issues that pet owners face involve their pet’s behavior. Our veterinarians are experienced at diagnosing and treating a wide variety of pet behavior problems. In the event that your pet’s behavioral problem requires more specialized attention, referral to a board certified veterinary behavior specialist is available.

Extensive client education

ClientEduc

The team at White Bear Animal Hospital prides itself on providing our clients with extensive education regarding their pet’s health. We have a wide variety of handouts detailing specific medical and behavioral conditions as well as informational handouts for most of the medications we prescribe. Additionally, we are always available to discuss your pet’s condition with you so that you are fully informed as to your options and the costs/benefits, pros/cons of each option.

Dog Bite Prevention instruction

DogBitePrevent

Dr. Dalton has completed training in Dog Bite Prevention and is available for presentations to elementary school age children in our local area. These presentations can be made to school groups or other interested community organizations. These presentations are provided FREE of charge. Please contact us for more information.

Pet nutrition counseling

A common question we hear from our clients is “What food should I feed my pet?” To help answer this question, our veterinarians and technicians are prepared to discuss your pet’s individual nutritional needs with you in order to determine the best food for them. We also have a client handout – Pet Nutrition 101 – to help our clients understand pet food labels. Click here to go to our Client Handouts page.
